Backing up Enrique Rojas' report last night for ESPN Deports, Jon Heyman tweeted that the Rangers and Rays are the two main suitors for free agent Manny Ramirez.

OK, so it's not the most detailed tweet in the world, but it's another source that the Rangers are really trying to sign Ramirez.
↵There's been no mention of anything financial from either Rojas or Heyman to this point. It's also unclear what Manny's role would be should he wind up in Arlington and how many plate appearances he'd accrue over the course of the season.
↵Still, between the pursuit of Ramirez and the failed pursuit of Thome, it's clear that Jon Daniels and co. are after another bat for the lineup to go along with Hamilton, Cruz, Kinsler, Beltre, Andrus, Young et al. Watching Cliff Lee go back to Philadelphia sucked, but adding Beltre and Ramirez? That's pretty sweet - if it comes to fruition.
