Jim Thome And The Rangers' Potential Options

New, 3 comments

There's some increasing conversation about the Rangers potentially adding slugging lefty and likely future Hall of Famer Jim Thome. Brett covered a couple John Heyman tweets indicating interest, and this morning, Adam J. Morris talked about some of the complications that would come from adding the man who put up a .437 weighted On Base Average at 39 last season. Thome on paper would be a plus for the Rangers, but their are some legitimate questions. What does David Murphy's role become? How left handed can a bench be? Are you willing to take playing time from Michael Young? Are you willing to take Mitch Moreland off the roster?

Without suggesting a correct solution, where do you find yourself leaning?

SB Nation Dallas-Ft. Worth is going to start having daily polls, every morning. Come by and let your opinion be seen, and feel free to talk about it in the comments.
