World Series Game 2 Thoughts

New, 1 comment

Now you can panic. Losing Game 1 wasn't a big deal. Going down 2-0 is. Who looks like the better team coming in is irrelevant once the games are played. All that matters is who's the better team in those games, and that's been the Giants so far. It's been the Giants by a lot.

↵

It's not over, of course. The Rangers have won four out of five against a good team very recently, that's what got them here. They can do it again. Teams have come back from 2-0 before. The first three of those games are at home.

↵

It's hard, though. No longer are the Rangers even close to favorable in this series. The smart thing on the off day Friday would be to be productive and only think baseball thoughts about how great the season so far as been. I'm not sure I can.

↵

This has just been a nightmare. Both of these games have been absolutely horrific to watch. They don't deserve analysis, they just deserve to be buried.

↵

I was prepared for the Giants to win the World Series, but I was not prepared for the first two games to be so excruciating to watch. Texas has their backs to the wall quickly and I'm very worried about how well they'll respond. Even if they're better than the Giants, a .667 record is hard to muster.

↵

Win the next two games and it's a different series. Let's hope.
