So now we know who the Texas Rangers will face in the World Series: the San Francisco Giants. The Giants pulled off the upset win tonight after beating the Phillies 3-2 in Philadelphia to clinch the National League pennant. Juan Uribe homered in the eighth to give the Giants a 3-2 lead that they'd win by. Like the Rangers, the Giants won the NLCS in six games.
↵The schedule for the World Series is:

- Wednesday, 10/27: Texas @ San Francisco - 7:30 PM EDT ↵
- Thursday, 10/28: Texas @ San Francisco - 7:30 PM EDT ↵
- Saturday, 10/30: San Francisco @ Texas - 6:30 PM EDT ↵
- Sunday, 10/31: San Francisco @ Texas - 8 PM EDT ↵
- Monday, 11/1: San Francisco @ Texas - 7:30 PM EDT ↵
- Wednesday, 11/3: Texas @ San Francisco - 7:30 PM EDT ↵
- Thursday, 11/4: Texas @ San Francisco - 7:30 PM ET ↵
We know Cliff Lee will start for Texas in Game 1 for the Rangers and will likely square off against Tim Lincecum though there may be some doubt there since Lincecum did pitch in relief tonight. He threw 16 pitches while striking out one in the eighth before yielding two hits.
↵This should be a pretty good World Series with lots of good pitching. It's an exciting time not only to be a Rangers fan but a baseball fan in general.
