ALCS: Rangers, Yankees Game 6 Starting Lineups

Tonight’s lineups for Game 6 of the ALCS have been posted. The visiting New York Yankees have changed their lineup again slightly. Lance Berkman will move up to the fifth slot which had been occupied by Marcus Thames in Game 5.

Derek Jeter, SS
Curtis Granderson, CF
Robinson Cano, 2B
Alex Rodriguez, 3B
Lance Berkman, 1B
Nick Swisher, RF
Jorge Posada, C
Brett Gardner, LF

Phil Hughes, SP.

Texas will go with the following lineup against the right hander Phil Hughes:

Elvis Andrus, SS
Michael Young, 3B
Josh Hamilton, CF
Vladimir Guerrero, DH
Nelson Cruz, RF
Ian Kinsler, 2B
David Murphy, LF
Bengie Molina, C
Mitch Moreland, 1B

Colby Lewis, SP

As previously reported, Nelson Cruz is indeed in the starting lineup as the Rangers look to close out the ALCS and advance to their first World Series in franchise history. The Yankees will look to thwart them and force a decisive Game 7 which would pit playoff veteran Andy Pettitte against Cliff Lee.
