Barret Loux To Begin Accepting Offers

After working out in front of scouts from nine teams last week, including the Texas Rangers, former Arizona Diamondback first round pick Barret Loux is set to begin accepting offers from teams interested in signing him.

Loux was drafted with the sixth overall pick in the 2010 First-Year player draft but failed to reach an agreement with the Diamondbacks after Loux failed a physical.

The former Texas A&M standout pitcher was granted free agency by Major League Baseball in August after the Diamondbacks backed out of their agreement once Loux failed his physical which revealed a labrum tear and "elbow issues."

In addition to the Rangers, the Astros, Marlins, Cubs, Twins, Giants, Brewers, Phillies and Mariners all had scouts present last week when Loux worked out for scouts last week.
