3 Texas players did not travel with the team

Texas is going to be missing linebacker Jordan Hicks, kicker Anthony Fera and defensive tackle Brandon Moore when they take on Oklahoma State

Kevin Jairaj-US PRESSWIRE - Presswire

The Texas Longhorns had three players who did not travel with the team due to injury or sickness and those three were linebacker Jordan Hicks, kicker Anthony Fera and defensive tackle Brandon Moore. Hicks is out due to a hip injury while Fera is still being bothered by a groin injury and Moore is out with some sickness and is the only real surprise player who did not make the trip.

Hicks is the Longhorns' leading tackler with 23 and is tied for second on the team in tackles for loss with three. The player he's tied with is Moore. Fera has yet to play a game this season. Texas losing both Hicks and Moore could be problematic as those two players are possibly the best defenders on Texas.

The defense for Texas is deep, and the next player in line will need to step up. Hicks will be replaced by Kendall Thompson and Ashton Dorsey will be replacing Moore in the lineup.
