Anthony Fera has been struggling with a groin injury since the start of the season, and he's not made the trip as Texas takes the road for the first time in 2012 to face Ole Miss on Saturday. Chip Brown tweeted the following from the airport on Friday:
Texas K Anthony Fera is out for the Ole Miss game (groin). He did not make the trip. #Longhorns

Fera transferred to Texas this season from Penn State University, and his addition was projected to turn the Longhorns kicking into a real strong point for the 2012 season. He's been struggling with a groin injury all season, and it appears it will be a bit longer before we see him make his first appearance for the Longhorns.
Nick Jordan and Nick Rose have been kicking for the Longhorns in the absence of Fera so far this season, and will continue to do so on Saturday. Texas will start the weekend ranked No. 14 in the nation.
For the latest on the Longhorns, head over to Burnt Orange Nation and Barking Carnival.
