Dallas is among 10 cities the Champions Bowl has sent requests for proposals to host the Big 12-SEC postseason matchup. This game is being compared to the Rose Bowl and the primary reservation on it is whether or not it could generate what the Rose Bowl generates the Pac 12 and Big Ten.
That shouldn't be a problem.
As for the cities that are currently in the running to host this event, which begins in 2014:

Under the playoff plan approved this summer, the Champions Bowl will join the Rose and Orange as "contract" bowls that will be guaranteed three of the six spots in the semifinal rotation. Three other bowls will be called "access" bowls and join the semifinal rotation, to be chosen from candidates that could include the Sugar, Fiesta, Cotton, Capital One and Chick-fil-A.
