Longhorn Network, AT&T U Verse Reach Deal, SB Nation Reports

Texas' first game of the season against the Wyoming Cowboys will now be more widely available for viewing, as AT&T uVerse has reached a deal to carry the University of Texas-based Longhorn Network. Saturday's game against the Cowboys will be shown exclusively on the LHN, and coverage of the network was very spotty prior to signing the deal.

SB Nation's own Barking Carnival originally broke the news of the deal's completion, while Burnt Orange Nation provided more shortly afterward. The station will not only be showing Saturday's game against Wyoming but also the following game against New Mexico as well as potentially a third game later in the season.

AT&T's service has 6.8 million subscribers in 22 states, exponentially increasing the number of people who are available to see the network -- prior to the pairing with AT&T, it was hard to find it on TV even in Texas.
