Mack Brown released the depth chart for his Texas Longhorns on Wednesday, and the good folks over at Barking Carnival have it posted and are already talking about it.
David Ash is listed as Texas's first team quarterback, with Case McCoy serving as his backup. Ash is entering his sophomore year, and was the favorite all along to win the starting gig.
Brown did say that McCoy "will play," so he will have chances to increase his playing time if he plays well, and perhaps even wrestle the starting job away from Ash, should Ash struggle.
Jaxon Shipley, Marquise Goodwin and Mike Davis are listed as the starting wide receivers at H, Z and X respectively.
Defensively, the folks over at Barking Carnival are excited about the depth at defensive tackle, with Chris Whaley and Brandon Moore listed as the two starters.
