Texas Football Recruiting 2014: Lorenzo Joe Commits To Longhorns

According to a report from Max Olson of Horns Nation, the Texas Longhorns are already starting to pick up commitments from players in the class of 2014:

Texas has picked up a verbal commitment from Abilene Cooper ATH Lorenzo Joe. I just got off the phone with Joe and it's official. We'll have much more on this soon with a blog, but this is a big surprise. Joe verbally committed at UT's camp, and Bo Davis called him today and told him he could announce he was committed.

The 6'2 190 Joe was being recruited by most of what used to be known as the Big 12 South -- Texas, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Baylor, Texas Tech and TCU -- and his commitment is another win in the state for Mack Brown's program.

Hudl.com has a series of videos from Joe's 2011 season.
