Texas 2013 Recruiting Class Now Includes Center Darius James From Killeen

The Texas Longhorns have received a verbal commitment from one of the highest ranked interior offensive linemen in the nation, Killeen Harker Heights' Darius James.

James is a Top 100 national recruit and a Top 10 recruit in Texas as well. James is ranked 36th in the country by 247sports.com and ranked 92nd in the country by Rivals.

Last weekend, the Longhorns had a host of commits which included four-star OT Kent Perkins from Lake Highlands, DE Daeshon Hall from Lancaster, and Jacorey Warrick and LB Deoundrei Davis, both from Cypress, Texas in the Houston area.

James announced his commitment to the Texas Longhorns around noon on Monday. With his size and athleticism, the young James has a chance to see the field right away as this Longhorn group looks to pick itself up after a disappointing 2011 season.

"It was a gut feeling," James said. "It just felt right."

Here is a highlight video of James in action.
