The Texas Longhorns (20-13) will open up their road to the Final Four with a match-up against the Cincinnati Bearcats (24-10) on Friday at 11:15 in Nashville. The Longhorns haven't experienced much luck on the road or at neutral sites this season, with a combined 5-10 record in those situations.
Texas is coming off a loss in the Big 12 conference tournament semifinals to the Missouri Tigers after a win over Iowa State in the quarterfinal match-up. The Bearcats just fell to the Louisville Cardinals in the Big East tournament championship. Cincinnati is led by Sean Kilpatrick who averages 14.3 points a game, and Yancy Gates who commands 9.2 rebounds a game.
This marks the 14th consecutive and 30th overall appearance by the Longhorns in the NCAA Tournament. UT is one of just six schools to have advanced to each of the last 14 NCAA tournaments (1999-2012).
