The 2012 NCAA Tournament bracket and field has been announced, and the Texas Longhorns have made the field of 68 for the 14th consecutive time under Rick Barnes.
They will receive an 11 seed in the East Region. Texas' first opponent will be the Cincinnati Bearcats, and the two teams will meet on Friday March 16 in Nashville, Tennessee.
If Texas wins their first matchup, they will face the winner of No. 3 Florida State and No. 14 St. Bonaventure on Sunday, March 18.
After being on the bubble for most of the last three months, the Longhorns earned the 11 with a 9-9 record in conference play and put themselves over the top by defeating Iowa State in the quarterfinals of the Big 12 Tournament.
