Texas Is Actively Recruiting Robert Nkemdiche

Recruiting for the Texas Longhorns has picked up steam by landing three verbal commits this week, and now they are in the running for Georgia defensive end Robert Nkemdiche who is the top recruit in the nation for the 2013 class and is already holding many offers.

The Alabama Crimson Tide look to be the early leaders, but he does have interest in his home state school the Georgia Bulldogs. Other major programs that are in the mix are the USC Trojans, Florida Gators, Auburn Tigers, and Oregon Ducks.

Texas is being considered due to offensive line coach Stacy Searels who has ties to the Georgia area and recently held the same offensive line position with Georgia with stops at Appalachian State, Cincinnati and LSU.

As Burnt Orange Nation points out, it is better to try and fail to go after Nkemdiche then have him say that he wished Texas gave him a call.
