The back-and-forth continues as the No. 23 Texas Longhorns have found a way to hold off the No. 18 Texas Tech Red Raiders and lead 24-13 at the half in Lubbock.

The Longhorns added their third touchdown on a 75-yard pass from David Ash to Mike Davis that made it 21-10 following the first of two second-quarter field goals for the Red Raiders. Texas tacked on a 42-yard field goal with 1:09 remaining in the half to make it 24-13.

The Longhorns have managed to keep one of the most explosive offenses in the country from entering the end zone more than once and have held Red Raiders quarterback Seth Doege to just 141 yards on 11-for-17 passing.

Ash has been at his best with 228 yards on 9-for-11 passing and two touchdowns. Davis has been the biggest beneficiary, as he’s grabbed two balls for 129 yards and a touchdown.
