No. 23 Texas (6-2, 3-2) travels to Lubbock this week to take on No. 18 Texas Tech (6-2, 3-2) in a crucial Big 12 game for both teams.
The Longhorns are facing some tough questions after a difficult four-week stretch that included a blowout loss to Oklahoma and narrow wins over Baylor and Kansas. Coach Mack Brown has decided to stick with David Ash as the starting quarterback after backup Case McCoy was able to lead the offense to victory against Kansas. The sophomore will be tested on Saturday against a very tough Red Raiders defense.
Texas Tech will attempt to rebound from a disappointing 55-24 loss to Kansas State after having climbed into the top 15 in the BCS rankings. Behind Heisman hopeful Seth Doege, the Red Raiders sport one of the nation's more dangerous offensive attacks that, until recent weeks, perfectly complemented a stout defense.
The Red Raiders are favored by 7.5 points in the game with an over/under currently set at an incredible 67 points for the game.
Texas will take on Texas Tech at 2:30 p.m. CT with coverage on ABC and ESPN2.
