In a pivotal Big 12 showdown, the Texas Longhorns will welcome the TCU Horned Frogs to Austin on Thursday evening for a Thanksgiving game under the lights.
The Longhorns have been able to respond with four consecutive wins after dropping back-to-back games to West Virginia and Oklahoma in early October, and are now ranked No. 16, according to the latest BCS rankings. Both Texas and TCU were given the previous weekend off to prepare for their marquee game, even though the Horned Frogs still enter with losses in three of their last four contests.
Set to mark the first meeting between the two schools as Big 12 members, Thursday's game will also be just the third time that TCU and Texas have faced off since the 1995 season. While the Longhorns came out ahead in each of those previous meetings, the Horned Frogs still own one of the nation's top run defenses and could be poised for a statement win.
