The loss by the Alabama Crimson Tide to Texas A&M on Saturday created a big shift at the top of the BCS rankings, as Kansas State jumps to No. 1 after the Wildcats' 23-10 over TCU.

The Texas Longhorns also maintained the program's steady rise back up the BCS rankings, moving to No. 15 after nearly falling out of the top 25 in the middle of October. The Longhorns moved to 8-2, 5-2 in the Big 12, after a dominant 33-7 win over Iowa State on Saturday. After dropping consecutive games to West Virginia and Oklahoma, the Longhorns have now won four in a row and face TCU this coming weekend.

Texas Tech dropped to No. 23 after needed overtime to beat the one-win Kansas Jayhawks, as Texas A&M jumped up to No. 8 after the tremendous win over Alabama.
