NCAA Football Rankings, Week 12: Texas moves up a spot to No. 18

Texas is slotted at No. 18 in the Week 12 AP Poll.

The Texas Longhorns moved up a spot in the latest AP Poll, where they're slotted at No. 18 after a convincing win over Iowa State. The Longhorns avoided the upset and cruised to the win in Austin, improving to 8-2 on the year. The Horns will now enjoy a weekend off before hosting TCU on Thanksgiving night. The Horned Frogs were unable to pull off the upset against Kansas State, which moved to No. 2 in the poll after Alabama's loss to Texas A&M. Texas will pay a visit to Manhattan to wrap up the season on the first weekend of December.

Joining Texas and Kansas State in the AP Poll from the Big 12 are Oklahoma and Texas Tech. The Red Raiders come in at No. 23 while the Sooners are No. 13. Here is this week's AP Top 25:
