The Texas Longhorns recovered from their two-game losing streak by barely escaping against the Baylor Bears by a score of 56-50. This week, Texas should be able to have an easier time as they are going up against the Kansas Jayhawks who are 1-6, and 0-4 in Big 12 play.
A win for Texas will make them bowl eligible, and it should happen against this Kansas team which has lost their last six games. Their only win is against South Dakota State, all the way back in Week 1.
When these two teams played last year in Austin, the game was not even close as Texas was able to shutout Kansas 43-0.
Kansas is struggling to put up points by averaging just 17 points per game, and they give up 31 per game. Not that Texas is much better as they are allowing 35 points, however the big difference is that Texas' offense is putting up 44 points per contest.
Texas still has issues at running back as Malcolm Brown is still questionable with an ankle injury, he has missed the last three weeks. In his place will once again be Daje Johnson, Joe Bergeron and Johnathan Gray.
Game time, TV channel: 11 a.m. CT, Fox Sports Net
Point spread: Texas is favored by 23 points.
