The Texas Longhorns rose two spots in the latest installment of the BCS standings. After debuting at No. 25 last week, the Longhorns are now at No. 23 after narrowly defeating Baylor on Saturday.
Texas is one of five teams from the Big 12 conference to be included in the rankings. The Kansas State Wildcats, who went up a spot to No. 3, lead the pack after their dismantling of the West Virginia Mountaineers on Saturday. As a result of the loss, West Virginia dropped six spots to No. 19. The Oklahoma Sooners jumped up to No. 8 following an easy victory over the Kansas Jayhawks, while the Texas Tech Red Raiders climbed three spots to No. 14 after beating the TCU Horned Frogs in a shootout.
