In a triple-overtime game that could swing either way at a given moment, there's usually a lot on the line. This was the case on Saturday when Texas Tech defeated TCU, 56-53, in a Big 12 showdown in Fort Worth. The win moved Texas Tech up three spots in this week's USA Today Coaches Poll, while the loss dropped the Horned Frogs out entirely.
The Red Raiders now sit at No. 17, but have their work cut out for them if they want to stick to their winning ways. They travel to Manhattan, Kan.,. next weekend to play undefeated No. 4 Kansas State.
In total, the Big 12 has six teams in the top 25. Oklahoma is No. 7, Texas A&M No. 21, West Virginia No. 22 and Texas enters the rankings at No. 24. The Longhorns beat Baylor, 56-50 on Saturday. This comes after losing back-to-back games, first to West Virginia, then an embarrassing 63-21 rout to Oklahoma. The Longhorns play at Kansas on Saturday.
