As reported by Chuck Carlton of the Dallas Morning News, the Texas Longhorns will be missing sophomore running back Malcolm Brown in their Big 12 match on Saturday against the West Virginia Mountaineers.
Brown suffered an ankle sprain in Texas' game last Saturday against the Oklahoma State Cowboys. He ended his day with only three carries for 7 yards after being knocked out of the very early goings.
Despite missing Brown, Carlton pointed out in a later tweet that the Longhorns will probably not have too much of a problem in the running game. They also have plenty of other big talent on the depth chart, including Joe Bergeron,Johnathan Gray and third-down specialist Jeremy Hills.
Brown has run for 245 yards and three touchdowns so far in the 2012 season. He put up 742 yards and five touchdowns in his freshman year for Texas in 2011.
