The No. 15 Texas Longhorns will reportedly be without running back Malcolm Brown and linebacker Jordan Hicks when they play the No. 13 Oklahoma Sooners on Saturday.
During an interview on the Longhorn Network, coach Mack Browns ruled out both key players for the Longhorns on Saturday.
Brown will miss the game with a lingering ankle injury, but his absence shouldn't slow down the Longhorns' offense too much considering their depth at running back. Brown is second in the team in rushing with 245 yards in four games with three touchdowns. Leading rusher Joe Bergeron and his backup Johnathan Gray will have to carry the load on the ground in Brown's absence.
Hicks is out with a hip injury which is a blow to the Texas defense as they try to slow down the Oklahoma offense. After giving up 192 yards on the ground and 460 yards overall to West Virginia last week, the Longhorns need all of the help they can get on the defensive side of the ball.
