Texas RB Malcolm Brown, LB Jordan Hicks both doubtful against Oklahoma

Texas could be without running back Malcolm Brown and linebacker Jordan Hicks for Saturday's game against Oklahoma.

Brendan Maloney-US PRESSWIRE - Presswire

The Texas Longhorns could be without running back Malcolm Brown and linebacker Jordan Hicks when they go up against the Oklahoma Sooners on Saturday. Both players are listed as doubtful, Brown has an ankle injury while Hicks is being bothered by a hip injury.

If Brown is out, it will be his second straight game that he will have missed, but Texas is deep at running back with true freshman Johnathan Gray and Joe Bergeron, so there should not be a big drop in production. Hicks has been out since the first half against Ole Miss back on Sept. 15.

The defense has not been the same since Hicks has been out, as one can tell just by looking at the last two games against Oklahoma State and West Virginia. In those two games, Texas gave up a combined 84 points.

With Saturday's game being against a huge rival in Oklahoma, Texas would like to have a completely healthy team, but they will have to work with the healthy players they have.
