Texas Vs. Baylor Final Score: Bears Outlast The Longhorns 76-71

The Baylor Bears were able to have four players score in double-digits in their Big 12 clash versus the Texas Longhorns as J'Covan Brown's 32 points weren't enough as Baylor wins 76-71 to push their record to 19-2 on the season.

Perry Jones III had a monster game with 22 points and 14 rebounds, Quincy Miller had 18 points and 6 rebounds, Brady Heslip's 11 points and Quincy Acy's 10 points contributed to give the Bears a balanced scoring attack versus the Longhorns scrappy defense.

The two stories of the game were rebounds and turnovers for Baylor. The Bears out-rebounded the Longhorns by 12 in this game and really took advantage of foul trouble that plagued Rick Barnes' big men. However, turnovers proved to be an equalizer of sorts, as Scott Drew's bunch turned the ball over 18 times (to Texas' 9) and kept Texas in the game.

Crucial missed free throws by Myck Kabongo and Alexis Wangmene along with poor shot selection by Brown ultimately did the Longhorns in, as free throws coolly sunk by Baylor solidified the victory for the Bears. With the loss, the Longhorns will have to work their way through the pack for a potential at-large bid. Meanwhile, the win for Baylor keeps them in the hunt for a No. 1 seed when the brackets are released in 6 weeks.
