Big 12 Tournament: Oklahoma State Edges Nebraska 53-52

The first game of the 2011 Big 12 Tournament is in the books, and the Oklahoma State Cowboys are moving on.

Oklahoma State staved off a comeback from the Nebraska Cornhuskers – the same Cornhuskers who upset the Texas Longhorns a few weeks ago – and held on for a 53-52 win.

The Cowboys held onto a nine-point lead at halftime, leading Nebraska 30-21 headed into the second half. Nebraska would take the lead with a little over 11 minutes to play in the second half – their first lead of the game.

Nebraska trailed 53-52 with ten seconds left and the ball, but failed to get a shot off in the closing seconds of the game, giving Oklahoma State the win and advancing the Cowboys to a date with the top-seeded Kansas Jayhawks on Thursday.

Keiton Page led Oklahoma State scorers with 16 points while Marshall Moses added 10 points of his own to go along with five rebounds, three assists, a steal and a block.
