The 2011 Big 12 Tournament is set to begin today, Wednesday, March 9th at 12:30 p.m. EST when the Nebraska Cornhuskers take on the Oklahoma State Cowboys.
Televised coverage for all four first-round games on Wednesday can be found on the Big 12 network.
Colorado and Iowa State have the second game of the day, with a scheduled tipoff at 3 p.m. EST. The fifth-seeded Buffaloes look to help solidify their at-large status with a win in the first-round of tournament play. The winner of the Colorado/Iowa State game will take on Kansas State on Thursday.
Seventh-seeded Baylor takes on Oklahoma at 7 p.m. EST, with the Bears desperately in need of at least one if not two wins to qualify for the 2011 NCAA tournament. The winner of the Sooners/Bears game will take on Texas on Thursday.
Lastly on Wednesday, the Missouri Tigers take on the Texas Tech Red Raiders, with tipoff scheduled for 8:30 p.m. EST. The Tigers, according to the latest bracket at Blogging the Bracket, are probably safe regardless of the outcome of this game, but still should look for a win to solidify their at-large status in the 2011 NCAA Tournament.
