2011 Big 12 Schedule: Texas, Kansas To Meet In Title Game

As the seeds expected, the Kansas Jayhawks and Texas Longhorns will meet in the 2011 Big 12 title game on Saturday night.

Kansas, who defeated the Colorado Buffaloes in the semifinals on Friday, holds the top speed in the Big 12 tourney and are likely going to be one of the four one-seeds in the 2011 NCAA tournament. Kansas also defeated Oklahoma State in the quarterfinals to reach the title game.

Texas, on the other hand, is the tournament's No. 2 seed. The Longhorns made easy work of the Oklahoma Sooners in the quarterfinals before disposing of the Texas A&M Aggies last night in the semifinals.

The Longhorns defeated the Jayhawks earlier this year in their only meeting. Texas went into Kansas and won 74-63.

Televised coverage for the Big 12 title game can be found on ESPN. Tipoff is schedule for 6 p.m. EST, 5 p.m. local.
