Kansas City, MO (Sports Network) – B.J. Holmes and David Loubeau each had 20 points as Texas A&M took an 86-71 win over Missouri in the quarterfinals of the Big 12 Tournament.
Nathan Walkup added 16 points and six rebounds for the Aggies (24-7), who will play second-seeded Texas in the semifinals on Friday.
Marcus Denmon had 22 points, Laurence Bowers added 13 points and six rebounds and Kim English added 12 points for the Tigers (23-10), whose only title in this tournament came in 2009.
A 10-0 run early in the first half helped the Aggies take control of the game and the team continued to lead by double-digits through the rest of the first half.
It was a 46-33 Texas A&M lead after 20 minutes and an 8-0 run in the early part of the second half made it a 20-point game.
The closest it got the rest of the way was 13 as Texas A&M improved its record in this tournament to 5-14.
