The Texas Longhorns actually trailed the UCLA Bruins 30-19 with four minutes left in the first half and then there was a 15-minute delay due to the lights going out. When the lights came back on, Texas went onto to score the final five points in the half. Texas continued their comeback and outscored UCLA 41-25 in the second half to win 69-59.
The reason for the run was that UCLA came out cold shooting ball as they ended up shooting 38 percent on the night while Texas was able to shot 54 percent from the field. UCLA also had struggles at the free throw line where they were only 50 percent on 10-of-20 shooting.
Texas was led in scoring by guard J'Covan Brown who had 22 points and was four-of-eight from three-point range. Brown was one of two players for Texas to score in double figures, the other was Myck Kabongo who scored 13 points and had eight assists and five rebounds.
