While the Oklahoma schools have a strangle-hold on the top two slots in the Big 12, the resurgent Texas Longhorns have a chance to finish third in the conference and rebound strongly from last year's 5-7 debacle.
Here's a look at the current standings:
1. Oklahoma State (9-0, 6-0)
2. Oklahoma (8-1, 5-1)
3. Kansas State (7-2, 4-2)
4. Texas (6-2, 3-2)
5. Texas A&M (5-4, 3-3)
6. Baylor (5-3, 2-3)
T7. Iowa State (5-4, 2-4)
T7. Texas Tech (5-4, 2-4)
T7. Missouri (4-5, 2-4)
10. Kansas (2-7, 0-6)
If Texas can beat Kansas State in Austin on Nov. 19, they'll likely have a commanding lead over three-loss Baylor and Texas A&M, although both schools will still get shots at the Longhorns this season.
Baylor, meanwhile, can clinch their second straight bowl game with a victory over the winless Kansas Jayhawks on Saturday.
