Texas used a 13-4 run to open the second half to seize control and cruise home to a 73-57 win over North Texas.
Myck Kabongo scored a team-high 16 points to lead the Longhorns to their fourth victory of the season. Kabongo also finished with seven assists. Jonathan Holmes added 12 points while Julien Lewis was also in double figures with 11 for Texas. The Longhorns hit 46 percent of their shots from the field and only turned the ball over eight times in the game.
North Texas' Alzee Williams led the Mean Green with 17 points. Roger Franklin logged a double-double with 13 points and 12 rebounds.
