Big 12 Football Results For Week 7

The Texas Longhorns could not keep pace with the Oklahoma State Cowboys.

No. 6 Oklahoma St. Cowboys (6-0) def. No. 22 Texas Longhorns (4-2), 38-26: This game featured back-to-back kickoff returns for touchdowns to start the second half. Texas did slow down the Oklahoma State offense some but it was not enough and Texas had a tough time slowing down Jeremy Smith who rushed for 140 yards and a touchdown. This was also the first game that Texas lost under head coach Mack Brown when they rushed for over 200 yards.

Missouri Tigers (3-3) def. Iowa St. Cyclones (3-3), 52-17: Missouri quarterback James Franklin was the star of the game with five total touchdowns, three passing and two rushing. Franklin passed for 289 yards and rushed for 84. Running back Henry Josey had a big game with 129 yards and a score.

No. 17 Kansas St. Wildcats (6-0) def. Texas Tech Red Raiders (4-2), 41-34: Kansas State stay undefeated by forcing four Texas Tech turnovers in their win. Quarterback Collin Klein lead the Kansas State offense by passing for 146 yards and a touchdown and rushing for 110 and three touchdowns.

No. 3 Oklahoma Sooners (6-0) def. Kansas Jayhawks (2-4), 47-17: Kansas kept the game close for a half, but the Oklahoma offense was too much. Landry Jones passed for 363 yards and three scores and Dominique Whaley rushed for 165 yards and score.

No. 21 Texas A&M Aggies (4-2) def. No. 20 Baylor Bears (4-2), 55-28: The Texas A&M defense found a way to outscore Baylor and Robert Griffin III. Griffin had a great game with 430 yards passing and three touchdowns. Texas A&M quarterback Ryan Tannehill out dueled Griffinn by throwing for 415 and six touchdown passes with four of those to Ryan Swope and had 206 receiving yards.
