Longhorns All-Star Coaching Staff Hits Snag With OL Position

Thanks to one of the biggest budgets in the country and one of its best talent bases, Mack Brown has essentially had his pick of coaches from around Division I to fill his numerous coaching positions. He raided the SEC for defensive and strength coaches and picked offensive assistants from the Big 12 and out west. But he's not having success in cherry picking one of the more important jobs: offensive line coach.

Steve Addazio went to coach Temple, rather than becoming a position coach in Austin. Once Brown hired Bryan Harsin rather than Wisconsin's Paul Chryst to help run his offense, Bob Bostad dropped out of the running. Now, Brown's third of three prime candidates, Auburn's Jeff Grimes, who is a Garland native, has dropped out of the running.

Secondary candidates such as Oklahoma State's Joe Wickline don't sound terribly interested in the job at this point. Where does Mack turn next?
