TCU vs. SMU: Gary Patterson's comments linger a year later

New, 2 comments

When SMU defeated TCU last season, Gary Patterson took issue with some of the post-game comments from SMU's head coach and players. Several days after the Horned Frogs lost that game, Patterson has the following to say:

SMU has had a lot of help from us over the last three or four years to improve their program," Patterson said. "I don't appreciate being treated the way it is; that's how we got reciprocated. We're going to go on about our business, but they're not going to get the same help anymore -- not about a ballgame, not about conferences, not about anybody. They're getting no help from Gary Patterson, period.

TCU is now 3-0 to start the 2012 season, and it will be heading to Gerald Ford Stadium at SMU to meet the Mustangs for the first time since those comments were made on Saturday. It will be the final time that the two schools meet before SMU joins the Big East conference in 2013. The game will kickoff at 6 p.m. CT.
