Virginia Vs. TCU Halftime Update: Horned Frogs Lead Cavaliers, 14-0

The TCU Horned Frogs hold a 14-0 lead over the Virginia Cavaliers as the two teams enter the locker room at halftime in Fort Worth, Texas.

The Frogs had a chance to put another touchdown on the board as the half wound down, but quarterback Casey Pachall threw an interception inside the Virginia 5-yard line. That continued a string of redzone turnovers for TCU, as the Frogs turned the ball over three times inside Kansas' 20-yard line in an underwhelming showing last weekend.

Aside from that, the Horned Frogs looked energized and came out rolling. Pachall threw for 170 yards and a couple of touchdowns in the half, while explosive wide receiver Brandon Carter caught two passes for 111 yards and a score. The loss of Waymon James appears to have hurt TCU's running game, though, as running back Matthew Tucker has gained just 23 yards, while averaging just over two yards per carry.

Early in the second quarter, Pachall hooked up with wide receiver Josh Boyce for a 6-yard score. It was Boyce's 18th career touchdown reception, which makes him TCU's all-time leader in that category.

The Horned Frogs outgained the Cavaliers, 212 yards to 137, in the half.
