TCU Vs. Kansas 2012: Final Score And Game Recap

Led by quarterback Casey Pachall, wide receiver Brandon Carter and a dominant defense, the 16th-ranked TCU Horned Frogs defeated the Kansas Jayhawks, 20-6, on Saturday in Lawrence, Kansas for their first win as a member of the Big 12 conference.

Pachall and Carter connected for two touchdowns as the Jayhawks led 3-0 in the first quarter before the Horned Frogs outscored them 20-3 the rest of the way.

Pachall had a monster game with 335 yards on 24 of 30 passing and the two touchdowns to Carter. Carter snagged eight receptions for 141 yards as he and his quarterback dwarfed an otherwise balanced attack that also featured 99 yards on 12 carries by Waymon James.

After a strong start to the game, Kansas quarterback Dayne Crist lost his way against the Horned Frogs defense, finishing 19 of 39 passing for 303 yards and an interception. The Jayhawks were also unable to take advantage of four turnovers, three of which came inside their own 20-yard line.

TCU's next game is against Virginia on Sept. 22.
