Former Baylor and Utah receiver Josh Gordon was selected in the second round of the 2012 NFL Supplemental Draft on Thursday, earlier than many expected.
The Browns are thin at wide receiver, so they opted to give up a second round pick to select Gordon, who was very excited to head to Cleveland.
Josh Gordon: "I am extremely excited to have the opportunity to become part of such a prestigious organization as the Cleveland Browns."

Gordon: "Being taken this high in the supplemental draft & mentioned among the likes of the Bernie Kosar is a humbling experience in itself"

The comparisons to Kosar come because the former quarterback was selected by the Browns in the 1985 Supplemental Draft and played for more than a decade in the NFL.
