TCU Running Back Ed Wesley To Enter NFL's Supplemental Draft

TCU Horned Frogs running back Ed Wesley left school do family reasons back in late May, but now he has officially put his name into the NFL's supplemental draft that is to take place in a few weeks.

There is no official date for the supplemental draft, however July 12 has been rumored, and so far Wesley is the only player who has entered. Wesley's agent Jordan Woy made the news official on June 29. There is rumored to be possibly up to 10 other players who will enter the supplemental draft, and one candidate is Wesley's teammate Tanner Brock.

Wesley shared a backfield for TCU this past year but was still able to rush for 726 yards which was good enough to rank fifth best in the Mountain West. His best season was his sophomore campaign where he scored 11 touchdowns and rushed for 1,078 yards.

Wesley also was named the Mountain West freshman of the year in 2009, and for his career he ran for 2,442 yards and averaged 6.3 yards per carry.
