College Football Rankings: TCU At 14, Texas At 21 In New BlogPoll

The Big 12 had five schools make the preseason poll, but Baylor, coming off one of the best seasons in program history, isn't one of them.

While the Texas Longhorns have gotten some national love in the first batch of preseason rankings, the SB Nation bloggers are going to need to see the Longhorns prove it on the field first.

In the second blogpoll of the off-season, Texas checks in at No. 21, seven spots behind new Big 12 member TCU at No. 14.

Both schools will be chasing Oklahoma (No. 5) as well as West Virginia (No. 10), the other new addition to the conference. Oklahoma State, the defending conference champion, starts out at No. 23, while RG3's departure to the NFL has Baylor slipping back into the other receiving votes category.

At least initially, it seems that conference realignment hasn't affected the quality of football in the Big 12, as neither of the two schools who left for the SEC (Missouri and Texas A&M) appear in the Top 25.
