TCU Football Recruiting 2013: Horned Frogs Land ATH Ty Slanina

The TCU Horned Frogs picked up their second commit of the week when they landed a verbal commitment from athlete Ty Slanina. Slanina is a four-star recruit according to 247Sports and comes out of East Bernard, Texas and is 6-foot-1, weighs 188 pounds and has a recorded time of 4.31 seconds in the 40-yard dash which was recorded at a TCU camp.

He is listed as an athlete but in high school he is a quarterback and defensive back, but TCU is recruiting him as a wide receiver. Slanina truly is an athlete as he has won the state championship in long jump the pat two years. Plus he is considering playing baseball for TCU.

Slanina was previously committed to go to Texas A&M, but he made the change once Mike Sherman was let go. After going through his list of requirements he chose TCU:

"At the end of the day, TCU had everything I wanted," he said. "I wrote down all my pros and cons and I didn't have one con when it came to TCU. And I just didn't want to lead all these other schools on when I knew TCU was where I wanted to be so I pulled the trigger."

Here are highlights of Slanina:
