TCU AD Confirms What We All Already Knew

In off-the-cuff remarks at a Lubbock business meeting on Wednesday morning, TCU Athletic Director Chris Del Conte confirmed that the Big 12 is trying to expand and at least three ACC schools (Florida State, Clemson and Miami) are all trying to get in.

While everyone involved been mostly trying to down-play the rumors, a quick glance around the interwebs would have given the average fan all that information earlier in the week.

Conte is presumably being kept in the loop by the Big 12 negotiators, but wouldn't it be great if he was refreshing Chip Brown's Twitter feed like everyone else to get the latest word from DeLoss Dodds?

Either way, a story that seemed like nothing more than idle speculation a few weeks back has now been officially confirmed by people in the highest echelons of the Big 12 and a conference that was seemingly on death's door one year ago is suddenly very, very alive.
