TCU 2012 Spring Football Practice Begins Friday

TCU returns to the practice fields amid its biggest scandal in the program's modern history, but the good news for the Horned Frogs is that a stacked offense is set for 2012.

Just two weeks removed from a national scandal that saw four players dismissed from the team for accusations of drug dealing, TCU will return to the field Friday for the start of its spring practice. The Horned Frogs have not officially announced a date for a spring intra-squad game, but practices are scheduled to run through April 5, and take a week-long pause for Spring Break.

Casey Pachall returns as quarterback, as does most of the Frogs' offense save for three starters on the offensive line. Three tailbacks - Waymon James (875 yards last season), Ed Wesley (726 yards) and Matthew Tucker (702 yards) - all return to a loaded backfield. FIve defensive starters will return as well, while dismissed player Tanner Brock was considered a lock to return as a starter at linebacker after missing the 2011 season with an injury.
