Buffalo Wild Wings Bowl: Goodbye, Skye Dawson

If there's any good that came out of TCU's 17-16 loss to Michigan State it's that the fan base will never have to watch Skye Dawson muff punts ever again.

Kevin Jairaj-US PRESSWIRE

A very forgettable season for the TCU Horned Frogs ended Saturday with Michigan State coming out on top victorious, 17-16, in the Buffalo Wild Wings Bowl.

Not surprising to any fan of the purple and black was the fact that WR Skye Dawson once again muffed another punt, this time to set up a Le'Veon Bell four yard rushing touchdown that would give MSU their first lead of the game. With this being Dawson's last season, he finishes his career with five consecutive games featuring a muffed punt. So as you might expect, HawkeyedFrog of Frogs O' War wasn't too sad to see him go:

"Today is the last time I will type "Skye Dawson" and be referring to an active TCU football player...the lion's share of the blame [for Saturday's loss] does lie at the feet of punt returner Skye Dawson."

Ouch. Good ol' HawkeyedFrog did add that you can't put all the blame on Dawson with the way TCU's offense "went to sleep" in the second half. But he does believe Dawson helped waste an excellent performance from the Horned Frog's defense.
