TCU vs. Kansas State 2012: Horned Frogs 8-point underdogs

Collin Klein's status is still unknown for Saturday's game against TCU, but the Wildcats have opened as 8-point favorites.

An opening line for No. 3 Kansas State's home game with the TCU Horned Frogs on Saturday wasn't posted on Odds Shark until Thursday, likely because of the uncertain status for Wildcats quarterback and Heisman Trophy frontrunner Collin Klein. Kansas State has opened as an 8-point favorite, even with Klein's status still up in the air as of Thursday.

The Wildcats are hopeful Klein, who has led the team to a 9-0 record and hopeful BCS title game berth, can start after sustaining a head injury in last weekend's win over Oklahoma State. Klein is the catalyst for the Wildcats' success, which so far includes a No. 2 ranking in the BCS. The Wildcats would likely have to remain undefeated to claim that coveted spot.

The early action would seem to be on TCU, however, as Five Dimes, Just Bet, Bet Online Top Bet, Sportsbook.com and SBG Global have all moved their lines closer to 7 or 7 1/2. Bovada isn't taking action on the game, again likely because of Klein's uncertain status.

The over/under for Saturday's game opened at 60 1/2 and has mostly stayed around that line.

TCU and Kansas State meet Saturday at 6 p.m. CT.
