TCU vs. Southern Utah final score: Horned Frogs defeat Thundedbirds, 62-51

TCU improved to 6-2 on the year as they defeated Southern Utah on Thursday night.

The TCU defense led the way n their 62-51 triumph over over Southern Utah on Thursday night. Southern Utah's Jackson Stevenett came into this game leading his team in scoring with 16.3 points per game, but on Thursday he was held to just one point on 0 of 10 shooting from the field, his only point came from the free throw line.

The entire Southern Utah team was held in check as TCU held them to just 32 percent shooting from the field, including 3 of 13 from beyond the arc.

This game was a battle for the most part, but TCU was able to take the lead for good when Devonta Abron made a layup with 10:38 left in the second half to make it a 39-38 game. Abron had a big second half as he scored 13 of his 17 points in the second half.

This was just a five-point game with 2:40 left in the game, but TCU ended the game by going on a 11-7 run to end up pulling away.
