The TCU Horned Frogs' deficit increased as the Kansas State Wildcats scored twice more to build a 23-0 lead after three quarters in Fort Worth.
The Wildcats put points on the board on their first possession of the second half as Collin Klein continued to work. After completed three passes for 26 yards, Klein finished the eight-play scoring drive with a 34-yard sprint up the left side of the field to give Kansas State a 20-0 lead.
TCU's defense continued to play hard, even as gaffes by other units on the team put them in difficult situations. After Frogs quarterback Trevone Boykin lost 19 yards on a fumble on third down, punter Ethan Perry booted an eight-yard punt that gave K-State an 18-yard field. But again, as in the second quarter, Dick Bumpas's defense held the Wildcats to a 27-yard field goal.
Kansas State leads TCU in total yards, 226-141. Matthew Tucker leads all TCU rushers with 62 yards on the ground, while Boykin is 8-17 for 72 yards through the air.
